The NXT N2 boots from Nordica are an uncommonly comfortable job among your typical all mountain advanced boots. Their last is on the wide end at 102mm, but means that they pass the litmus test for a pair of boots that is shooting for exceptional comfort. Their four buckle design really lets you dial that in, especially when combined with their Adjustable Cuff Profile that can fit virtually anybodies calves optimally. Their 100 flex lets you get up into speeds that fringe upon the break-neck while maintaining precise control, too, so speed demons rejoice!

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Description

Details

102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types.

100 Flex Rating: This boot is pretty stiff, but not insanely stiff. A boot of this level is pretty good for upper-intermediate to expert level weekend warrior that is looking for something stiff enough to provide high-end response, while being wearable for an entire day of skiing.

30mm Power Strap: A velcro strap, 30mm in height, acts as an extra buckle to keep the top of the boot together. The 30mm straps are good for recreational skiers or junior racers.

Primaloft: A soft insulating fabric that is water repellent. Unlike down, Primaloft keeps your hands warm even when it's wet!

Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

Micro-adjustable alloy buckles: These alloy buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Macro adjust ladder: The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs.

Cuff Alignment: The cuff of this boot is beyond adjustable. It aligns the cuff to follow the shape of the skiers' lower leg, increasing comfort and enhancing performance.

Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

Product Questions

Product Questions

I am interested in these boots. I have wide feet and tried a pair of 29.5 today and they felt very comfortable but the boot fitter in attendance said I'm 27.5 or 28 at most and that size the boots at that size would be too narrow. This didn't seem to make sense to me. What do you think?
