A mid-volume technical ski pack needs to do two things well: stay out of your way on the ascent and hold its position on the descent. The Osprey Soelden 32L Backpack was built to do both, designed for all-day backcountry tours where the terrain demands a pack that moves with you rather than against you.

The 2.5mm Peripheral LightWire frame and HDPE framesheet keep the load centered and stable across long skinning efforts, distributing weight efficiently so your legs do the work instead of your back. A dedicated front avalanche safety pocket with organized probe and shovel storage puts your emergency kit within reach without unpacking anything, and a stowaway helmet carry, A-frame and diagonal ski loops, UHMWPE ice-tool carry sleeve, and horizontal snowboard carry give you a complete snow-specific feature set for every configuration the day might call for. The snow-shedding thermoformed EVA foam backpanel keeps ice buildup off your back between laps, and removable front panel straps trim 25 grams when you do not need them. The main and bottom fabrics are woven from 100% recycled ocean-sourced nylon with PFAS-free DWR treatment, making the Soelden 32 a pack built for the mountains and mindful of what keeps them worth skiing.
