This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Micro Adjustable Plastic Buckles: These buckles are plastic to keep them lightweight, but unlike most plastic buckles they do have micro-adjustment capability so you can clamp down the boot at the perfectly comfortable position.

When adjusting the size of the boot, make sure to always unbuckle the boot before adjusting the size. Use the included lever bar to turn the tab and adjust the size, no other tools should ever be used to adjust the fitting size.

Roces ski boots are the perfect choice for your child whose foot is still growing (that's probably the majority of them.) If you click on our link below you can find more information about these boots and how they work than you would ever need. The two buckle boots (16.0-18.5 and 19.0-22.5) are to be used with children's bindings. The larger (23.0-25.5) three buckle boots can be used with any bindings

We here at are absolute fans of this product and work closely with the manufacturer to improve the product. The changes from introduction to arrival in North America the season are bigger pins for the latch so the sizing set is rock solid secure, internal latch springs, and a softer flex so it is usable by all ranges of junior skiers.

IDEA is the first ski boot growing with the kids. Through the patent pending '6in1' technology, it is possible to adjust the size of the ski boot to accommodate the natural growth of the kids' foot.

There are two main advantages to getting Roces boots for your junior skier. The first is obvious in that you don't have to constantly buy new boots to get a great fit. Often overlooked is that since you are not getting new boots, you don't need to remount bindings as your child's foot grows, since the sole length of the boot remains the same as you expand and contract the fit.

Hi, we have the middle roces boot but now need to buy the next size up. The only thing we didn't like about the boot was the inner sole didn't reach the end of the boot, so my daughters toes tips were off the end of the sole. Has this been improved in the new 2017 boot? Thanks.
Do you have any opinion on the fit of the 2015 vs. 2016 models? Clearly the 2016 only have one buckle, normally I would guess that it would make them less adjustable/comfortable than two buckles, any opinion? For the $10 difference in price I don't really care, at least not nearly as much as I care about my son being comfortable and happy. He will need 19-22 size, which seems like it is available in multiple colors for both models.
The picture changes from a 3 buckle to a 1 buckle on the main menu vs the product after clicking. Which is it?
I will be starting my 4 year old daughter on skis this year and would like to purchase this boot. I don't know anything about ski boot sizing. She currently is about an 8.5/9 in a regular girls shoe. Can she wear this 16-18.5 boot? thank you!
Why is this called a "6 in 1" ski boot when there are only "4" positions on the adjustment lever beneath the heal?
Can I use the same bindings for the three different size ranges of boots? (i.e. if I buy a ski package with the "16-18.5" boots, will the "19-22.0" and "22.5-25.5" boots also work with those bindings?)
Will these boots work with SkiBlades with NON-release bindings? For the non release bindings, you put your heel in first, then pull up a lever in the front which locks them onto your skis. Being adjustable, I'm not sure if the front would interfere with the lever at the larger size settings.
My 9 year old daughter wears a size 22 boot but uses a binding that has a toe piece compatible only with a junior normed boot. What is the width of the sole at the toe piece on the 22.5 - 25.5?
What is the flex index rating for the 22.5-25.5? Info says "soft" - guessing in the 40-50 range?
What changes were made on the 2016 model? In particular I am looking at the smallest size (16-18.5)
Hi I just received the new Roces boots I ordered for my kids. I previously had the 2012 or 2013 model for my kids and in that model there was a screw in the back that adjusted the collar of the boot to grow up in height around the calf. So it made sense to me that it was called a 6 in 1 boot -- 3 adjustments for the length of the sole, 3 adjustment points for the height of the boot. The new 2016 models I just received no longer have the screw on the back to raise the height of the collar, even though the manual in the box says it is possible. The box of the new boots still says 6 and 1, but I fail to see how. Is there a new manual that should have come with the boots instead of the old one that shows a screw for height adjustment when there isn't one?
My 6-year-old daughter would be in the 19-22 size, with the two buckles. She's a pretty aggressive skier for her age - making parallel turns with poles on terrain up to blue/black. She's light and doesn't need anything super still but I'm concerned these might be geared more toward beginners who do better with a soft, flexible boot?
Will the larger 22.5-25.5 size work on Rossi sapphire xelium 45 bindings? I have two sets of skis with these bindings. One are 100cm the other are 120cm. Need some boots that will work on these skis for one more year before needing to upgrade skis lengths for my girls.
Can you buy new soles for these?

Awesome Boot for KidsReview by Bondga
These ROCK. A great little set of boots, comfortable, responsive, cost effective and likely to last 6 seasons between my two kidlets before we can pass them on. They have held up to the punishment the kids have thrown at them so far and the price in the long term is way better than hiring. Stick to the gender neutral colours for maximum "hand me down" value. These boots are magic! They are still a little bit big for my girls but once they fit they'll be good for at least a couple of seasons. Then we'll get the next size! (Posted on 8/7/2017)
Awesome bootsReview by Skiwi
These boots are great, fit well, and grow with your child, and so easy to adjust. Works out much cheaper and easier them buying new boots every year or two. We just bought the next size up. (Posted on 7/31/2017)
Perfect kids ski bootReview by Tania
This is the 3rd pair of these Roces style boots I have purchased for my girls. They are awesome as they last them for a few seasons and as I have 3 girls they just keep getting handed down its the perfect solution to spending lots of money. Comfy and looks good too. (Posted on 7/22/2017)
great boots for kids can use 2 to 3 seasons Review by Alana
for us recreational skiers, the roces and defiance package is cheaper then renting. (Posted on 4/13/2017)
Great boot, great priceReview by KF
We purchased two pair for our daughters. Have gone back and purchased a third they work out so well. Yes we have several girl close in age. The boot help us resolve the problem of trying to match boot sizes throughout the years. We are hoping they will last them until they get to their forever boot size. (Posted on 2/28/2017)
My daughter loves her ski bootsReview by Rafa in San Diego
Being a snowboarder really doesn't teach you much about skiing equipment. Having a 6 year old who outgrew her last years 19.5 used ski boots Roces was the perfect solution.

My daughter just skied 4 days in Mammoth Mountain and never complained about the fit (being adjustable) or being cold/wet.

The price is very reasonable considering that renting ski equipment for 6 days in a season would pay for these adjustable boots.

Great product, adjustable, great price. (Posted on 2/27/2017)
Don't Even think of other kind of kids ski boots!Review by Bernd
What's not to say about these? Well made, comparably priced, warm, comfortable ski boot your kid can wear at least 2 seasons (maybe 3) in 6 colors!

Folks at the mountain are always asking about them. A Local developmental hockey venue has Roces ice skates for rentals for the same capability to dial in a great fit. Wish all kids products were designed like this. (Posted on 2/27/2017)
Really great for KidsReview by Trevor
Great boots as many have mentioned. Simple to get on and off. Not one complaint of sore feet from my 3 year old and 5 year old first time skiers. A good fitting boot helps make skiing fun! (Posted on 2/23/2017)
will last a whileReview by MINDY
so glad to have these for my 7 year old daughter! fit good on smallest setting and will last next year and the year after :))) (Posted on 2/17/2017)
Great boot. Review by Derek
Unless your child is a racer there is no reason not to buy these. My kids have used these for years and no complaints ts from them or my wallet. Skiing is an extremely expensive sport and anytime I can save some money without compromising the fun and safety of the sport I will and these fit the bill. (Posted on 2/11/2017)
Great bootReview by Mike
Great boot for the price--work wonderful for our 3 year old (Posted on 2/10/2017)
Awesome boots, great serviceReview by Johnny
If your kid is size 19 like mine, you can get 3 to 5 years out of these boots. Even better if you can hand them down.

I think not about saving rental costs, but about not queueing and picking up skis etc which is a huge time suck. L9 WERE GREAT! Talk to a human. Human gives good advice and helps. I'll be back. (Posted on 2/9/2017)
Fantastic ProductReview by Alex
This is our 3rd pair of these boots. I may make it through almost half a decade of skiing with 3 kids with only having to buy 3 pairs of boots total. These hold up well and have great adjustability. (Posted on 2/9/2017)
worked out for us...Review by moe

best boot ever for growing kidsReview by bob
I was skeptical when we got our first pair. Our soon to be 10 year old daughter had three years on the smallest pair, and now three years on the middle size. We are going to get her the next size up. There have been no complaints about hurt feet, and it has to be really cold before she complains about it (below 0 for a lot of runs). We now have the youngest in the smallest size for her second season with the boots, and have the the same result so far. However, I will not pass the used boots down to my youngest because when the oldest was done with them, the boot wouldn't have lasted another year. We ski about 80 to 100 days a year, so they got a lot of use.

We tried rentals, and non-adjustable boots with both of our girls first, but the Roces are the only ones that did not hurt. Both girls 9 and 4 ski moguls, park, and anything else they can find off the groomers, and the boots have never limited their ability to progress. (Posted on 2/2/2017)

We have 3 kids and have used these boots for all of them. Great quality product that holds up with use. L9sports is the best. Thanks again. (Posted on 1/14/2017)
Good idea, but...Review by Geo
One of the boots we received had a bump in the tongue, which made it very uncomfortable. The other boot was fine. It may have been a fluke, but we had to return it. That's always the risk when you buy online vs in-person. Not a big deal, but I'm out $7 (nonrefundable shipping fee) for them shipping me a defective product. (Posted on 1/8/2017)
Very goodReview by Andre
My little hero (10 years old) has used it only once and loved it ! Easy to set up the size (Posted on 12/31/2016)
Very Clever BootReview by John
Well made overall. The adjustable size is made by turning a screw that moves the heel of the boot in or out to accommodate the child's foot size. Best part is that the heel of the boot slides on top of the boots sole that inserts into the binding. So as you change the boot size you do not need to readjust the bindings. (Posted on 12/29/2016)
Great solution for the growing childReview by grasshopper
This is our second pair of such boots since even adjustables are eventually outgrown ;) When buying the first pair I was concerned about comfort, warmth and durability and if being adjustable affected those. I am happy to report they did not seem to have any significant negative effect. Adjusting them is a snap and the kids loved them. The bigger size seems even better going from 2 buckles to 3 and construction seems marginally better as well. A great product at a great price ! As usual, great service from levelnine as well (Posted on 12/15/2016)
Awesome solution for growing kidsReview by Eugene
Having growing kids - meaning you have to buy a new pair of ski boots every year. These are a good solution to the problem.
The kids love them.
The only concern is the plastic buckles. They should have been made of metal. (Posted on 12/13/2016)
FlawlessReview by Mag0121
Both kids have learned to rip in these boots. My 10 yr old daughter outgrew the smaller size and has moved up to the larger ones for this season. The added buckle/strap/stiffness presents an appropriate increase in performance while retaining comfort and sizing flexibility. Can't recommend these to enough people! (Posted on 11/9/2016)

4th pair between two kids!Review by Corrilee
These boots are incredible! Both of my kids have used them happily for 5 years now! My son was in the middle size when he learned to ski and finally grew out of the largest size this past season. My daughter (also my complainer) started skiing at age 4. She's now 8 and currently in the middle size. I will soon buy the largest pair to get her through the next 2-3 seasons. She never complains about her Roces boots! We decided to try a season rental program this year, but she whined and complained about the Nordica boots they gave her from day one on the slopes. After 3 miserable days, and realizing that the rentals simply weren't going to work, we returned to her Roces, and we never looked back! I only dread what happens after she grows out of the largest size :-). Both kids ski blues through blacks in their Roces - they are great for all skill levels and all mountain! (Posted on 4/14/2016)
Great Boots for growing 5 year oldReview by LT
We purchased these boots, along with the Defiance 2015 Stars Children's Skis w/Look Team 4 Bindings

Our little one loved them, and always insisted on putting them on by herself. Very user friendly, and best thing about these boots, is that our little one did not complain once about the boots hurting her feet.

Very Happy with our purchase, and would recommend these boots to others. (Posted on 3/28/2016)
pass them down!Review by io
7-year-old ruled our East-Coast mountain in these on the biggest snow day over the last few years. Before the snow started, he got his turn in on a mixture of packed snow, dirt and ice. The afternoon brought snow, and by the next day, we had 20 inches of new snow. He soldiered on the usual blues, then tackled the deep moguls on the black-diamond face of the mountain. He controlled his skis to go where he needed to go, and never once complained about the boots. At the end of the day, his feet were dry and he left the slope behind with tears -- he was not done skiing after 8 hours! His sister was using hers, set to the largest size (still middle size). With the calf setting raised as high as possible, she had less control, and her feet did get wet. I hope that the new 2016 design will work better on the upper range. Despite her experience, we are still getting her the next version up, and hopefully the new calf design will work so that she no longer gets wet. The "boy" colors seem prety friendly to both boys and girls -- wish there were more gender-neutral colors, though. These boots are meant for passing down! (Posted on 1/24/2016)
Best kid boots ever!Review by Greig
I wasn't sure about this concept but all the reviews were positive and the Level9 team gave me confidence to buy. Best kids boots ever! My 10 year old now does her own boots with next to no help at all. She loves them and we should get another 3-4 seasons out of them. Can't get better value than that. I would recommend these boots to anyone buying for their kids. (Posted on 1/14/2016)
Great kids bootsReview by Ski L'Machine
We have now 2 sets of these boots and will soon purchase a 3rd pair. Our 2 kids have been on skis since age 3 and there is little doubt that its an expensive sport to buy new boots every year! My son managed to get 3 years out of one pair, my daughter is in her 2nd year, but will inherit his boots (still in ok condition). If you can get a few years out of each pair they are incredible value.

How do they perform? Our kids now 6-8 are very good skiers for their age and they never complain about the boots being sore, and they don't limit the performance (mind you they haven't skied a more technical boot so they don't know any better). My first 2 priorities: comfort and performance are ticked!

Third priority is warmth and weather proofing which is where they are good but not great. We ski in Australia and the snow is much wettier than North America / Japan. On a good powder day (which is rare) or a groomer day the boots are fine, but when the snow turns to slush the kids feet get a bit wet. This is more the snow than the boot. We did a week in waist deep Japan powder which is super dry and the kids feet didn't get wet once. (My feet don't get wet in Australian conditions but I've got much better boots).

The shell design to allow the boot to expand is exceptional. The liner design to move inside the shell is more basic - and perhaps why it allows more water to get to the socks. I was initially suspect that the liner design would be uncomfortable but our kids have been in these for years and not a single complaint re comfort. They are also super easy for the kids to put on which they seem to love doing themselves.

Overall I would give these 5 stars, even though they can allow a bit a moisture into the boot they are as far as I know the only boot of its kind on the market and essential if you want 2-3 years per boot for your kids.

Great boots for kidsReview by potosijen
These boots are reasonable to get on our son's feet, and I love that they will grow with him. We lent ski gear to some cousins this holiday, and is was so nice to just adjust the boot to fit their feet without needing to worry about the bindings. Great buy for skiing families.
