Micro Adjustable Plastic Buckles: These buckles are plastic to keep them lightweight, but unlike most plastic buckles they do have micro-adjustment capability so you can clamp down the boot at the perfectly comfortable position.
When adjusting the size of the boot, make sure to always unbuckle the boot before adjusting the size. Use the included lever bar to turn the tab and adjust the size, no other tools should ever be used to adjust the fitting size.
Roces ski boots are the perfect choice for your child whose foot is still growing (that's probably the majority of them.) If you click on our link below you can find more information about these boots and how they work than you would ever need. The one buckle boots (16.0-18.5) are to be used with children's bindings. The two and three buckle boots (19.0-22.0 & 23.0-25.5) can be used with both children and adult bindings
We here at levelninesports.com are absolute fans of this product and work closely with the manufacturer to improve the product. The changes from introduction to arrival in North America the season are bigger pins for the latch so the sizing set is rock solid secure, internal latch springs, and a softer flex so it is usable by all ranges of junior skiers.
IDEA is the first ski boot growing with the kids. Through the patent pending '6in1' technology, it is possible to adjust the size of the ski boot to accommodate the natural growth of the kids' foot.
There are two main advantages to getting Roces boots for your junior skier. The first is obvious in that you don't have to constantly buy new boots to get a great fit. Often overlooked is that since you are not getting new boots, you don't need to remount bindings as your child's foot grows, since the sole length of the boot remains the same as you expand and contract the fit.
I was constantly renting ski equipment for my growing kids when they were small, and then found that their ability surpassed the equipment that was available for kids at the ski rental shops. Faced with buying equipment I stumbled onto the Roces boots and liked the idea but was worried about comfort and insulation. I live in Canada and local shops did not carry this product so I could only go from reviews and purchase online. We ski frequently in the rockies in almost all sorts of weather typically ranging from 15 degrees to -16 degrees Fahrenheit, and our kids never complained about cold or lack of comfort with these boots. When I purchased these boots, my girls were 9 and 11 and they both fit the smallest setting on the youth boot. We will now be going into our third season with them, with my oldest still on the smallest setting, and my youngest moving up a notch. I love that the base plate of the boot remains the same size. The boots are well built and I suspect we will be using these boots for much longer than I had originally anticipated. Great product, I highly recommend them.
As a parent who skis, I was a bit skeptical at first to the concept of an adjustable ski boot, but at the price point how could I go wrong. So I purchased these in December of 2018 and decided to use for a while with my 8 and 10 year old (girl and boy respectively). After a season and a half, I figured it was time to review.
Both boots are working awesome for both. We have been out between 7 and 39 degrees with no complaints about soreness or feet getting cold. I made the first adjustment for both this year and went off without a hitch.
In the end, I love the boots and would not buy anything else until their feet stop growing. I also purchased new skis last year for them 8 cm bigger than normal so that I could get 2-3 years out. After adjusting the boots, the bindings didn't need any adjustment.
L9 is awesome and love what they bring to the consumer world
I can’t believe there is such a genius product like this and that everyone doesn’t buy these for their kids! Thank you!!!
Ideal gear for growing children.
My daughter has progressed through all through sizes of Roces’ adjustable boots. We love them! Highly recommended.
Didn't previously know about these boots until investigating new ski packages for our 9 and 6 year old granddaughters who just started "turning" on the slopes last year. Was able to buy the biggest size for the 9 year old and the middle size for the 6 year old. Both girls will be able to use their boots starting at the smallest adjustable size. So, they should get several years use before needing new, larger boots. Also, the 6 year old can grow into the boots and skis bought for the 9 year old. Eventually, our 1 year old granddaughter can also grow up through the equipment So, very cost efficient.
The girls each tried on their boots without problems, but haven't actually used them yet.
I saw that the older versions of these boots had adjustable boot cuffs, but the boots no longer have that. I hope the boots still work out well as we gradually expand them to larger size.
With the ability to change sizes we'll get a few years use out of these, making them great value for money.
These were a present for my soon to be 7 year old grandson....he is very happy with them!!
Outstanding quality, fit and finish. Adjustment mechanisms for length and height well designed and executed. Hoping to get at least 3 seasons for a 10 yr old. Hoping to save a bunch of monies even with the trade in programs of our local SkiPro. Best for recreational, resort youth up and coming groms on corduroy.
