The Rossignol Experience 88 is the do-it-all tool for skiers looking to dabble in all sorts of terrain, but splits their their time on the hill between on and off piste. An award winner year after year, this ski really does ski exceptionally well with the help of AirTip Technology, Auto Turn Rocker and an Extended Sidecut. The E88's will make gorgeous turns on groomers while the tip/tail rocker will allow for float in soft snow. Basalt reinforcement layers also help stabilize the ski and prevent chatter at high speeds. This ski can hang at racing speeds but also is quite nimble so we recommend the E88 to upper intermediate to expert skiers who ski a little bit of everything.

We Have Recommended Some Bindings For You: You will notice there is a dropdown menu that says "Ski Bindings" above. These are simply a list of curated bindings we recommend will work best for this particular ski but other bindings will work as well. There are a few factors i.e. brake width, DIN range, ability level that determine an appropriate binding choice, so let us know if you need assistance.

Ideal Target Skier: Weekend Warrior/Charger: These skiers were once upon a time ski bums, or very proficient skiers in college, then landed an internship that led to a 70 hour work week and a spouse and 2.5 kids. They are still great skiers, and ski hard every chance they get on steeps, moguls, powder... whatever they can get their hands on.

Air Tip Technology: Patented air-honeycomb design reduces the weight and dramatically reduces the swing weight of the ski by nearly 30%. This significantly enhances maneuverability, giving the ski and ultra-light feel. Reinforced with ABS for durability and enhanced torsional rigidity.

Extended Sidecut: A sidecut technology that Rossignol uses for its mostly groomer skis. When the ski is going fast and you're leaning further into your turn, more of the edge comes in contact with the snow the more extreme your angle is. This gives increased edge hold at higher speeds, while leaving the ski maneuverable at slow speeds. Pretty cool.

Basalt Layers: This stick sandwiches basalt around the wood core, which is lighter than metals like aluminum or titanium, but still offers extra stability and dampness.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Square Tail: These skis have a square shaped tail, which adds stability to turns on hardpack as well as very steep terrain. Probably not a park ski, though :)

Expert Binding Choices: Some of the binding options (i.e. the Head GTO 15) available for this ski have high din ranges that start at 8 or 9. A very small percentage of skiers will be suitable for these bindings. If you know that you usually set your din at 8 or above, you are in the clear for a high din binding. Otherwise, those bindings are for EXPERT SKIERS ONLY!

Metal Tip Protectors: These skis have rugged tip protectors made of metal that will help fight against chipping and damage to the tips, which is both a performance and cosmetic benefit.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Tail Rocker: Just like Tip rocker, but in the tail, this feature allows the tails of the skis to release easier from the turn to give the skier the ability to turn the skis quicker in tight spots. It also allows skiers to dump speed by forcing the tails out and sliding sideways. The effective edge is reduced because of the tail rocker, so the skis will also be easier to control when forced to ski on the groomed slopes.

How would you compare to the Bonafide re: stiffness, turn radius, etc. Been skiing the Bonafide (172) for 5 years and, while it is a fun ski, I find it can also be tiring...especially after 14 days straight in Utah. At 5'7'' and 160 lbs, (and 62 yrs. old) looking for a ski with the 'all mountain fun' of the Bonafide but which requires less energy/effort be put into it.
Any idea how this compares to a Rossi E84 HD? I skied a pair of the 84s and quite liked them -- wondering how these are likely to compare (bearing in mind the ones I skied were the HD version and these 88s are Basalt)?
Looking at possibly getting these for my son, he's 19 years old, 5'9" tall but only weighs 132 pounds. He's an expert and races on a club team in college, and favors short turns somewhat. Often skis at Mad River Glen which has lots of bumps and tight trees. Any suggestions on which length to get for him?
I'm a 53 year old "intermediate" skier- like to have fun but only go down the black diamond when my friends make me. 190 lbs. I like the Experience 88 from everything I see and read- but my question was on the bindings. Are the Tyrolia peak 11's appropriate? I was wondering if they were geared more towards a junior skier?

Also, how would you compare the Experience 88 with the Rossi Super 7?
I just ordered the 172s, but I see the suggested length is actually longer than what I would have expected. I ski 170s now. 49 years old, advanced intermediate, east coast skier. Should I move up to the 180s.
I currently ski on the Elan Waveflex 88's that I bought from you guys last year. At 210 lbs, I get some chatter when I go faster on firm snow, which is what we have on the east coast.

Would you expect these to be:
1) As easy to turn
2) A little less flex and give in turns and at speed

I am an advanced/expert skier and like the look of these. I am a 65 year old woman 5'6" 159lbs. I currently ski the Nordica Nemesis at 161 cm but they are not rockered and I have been told that I should go longer with rockered skis. I was looking at these in 164 but am wondering if I should go longer? Can you help?

I have an older pair of the E 88 187cm and found them very heavy and cumbersome from edge to edge. Are these new E88 ski's lighter?
I skied the 2017 E88 HD's over the weekend and really liked the ski. Nice on the groomers, good grip, easy turn initiation, playful. How do the 2016 E88 Basalts compare to the 2017 E88 HD's. What is the weight difference if any? Which bindings would you suggest for either ski? FYI, I am 6' 195 pounds.
What is the correct brake width for the Experience 88? I see a lot of packages with 120, seems large.
5'10" 165lbs Expert skier, very athletic. Size recommendations 172 or 180?

I ski a 177 volkl mantra and used to ski boards up to a 201 back in pre-sidecut days.

How would these compare to the Volkl Kendo? I'm looking for an all mountain ski for the east coast. I'm 5'9" and 155lbs, and would consider myself an intermediate skier.
Hi, what lengths do these skis come in pls?
Do you ship to China?
Looking at these or the 80's . East coast skier. love moguls. Powder rare. Been smearing for 30 years. Just got shaped skis a couple of years ago. Still learning, but love carving.
88 or 80?
5'11" 195 Lbs advanced intermediate. I currently ski 176cm Experience 80's. I ski in the northeast - always try to get out the few times we have powder days. I'm eyeing the 164cm in this ski. Will it feel too short and slow for me? What should I expect when going from the 80 to 88? Will the 8cm and added stiffness be significant enough or would you recommend a different ski?
I just got my skis and bindings in the mail from you. I know that I need the bindings adjusted for my boots and correct DIN, etc. Do I need to have them sharpened or waxed prior to hitting the snow for the first time?
I'm an intermediate skier, 5'10 but only 130 lbs. Should I go for the 164 cm length, or upsize to 172 cm?
Hi I have seen two different versions of E88 on the websites. One having graphics like the one on your website with mainly black graphics and bits of green and the other one with mainly green graphics with little hints of black. Are there any differences between them as I saw a catalogue in a shop stating the green one weighs ca 4,9 kg/pair vs 4,2 for the one with black graphics? Many thanks.
2 questions if you don't mind: #1 - how does the AirTip Tech impact the overall weight of the skis vs the previous Exp88s? #2 - what's up with "Basalt" Isn't basalt a type of rock? Thanks
Do the bindings come mounted on the skis or will I have to have them mounted when they arrive?

Skis look greatReview by Green Machine
I will retire in September, and needed to buy new skis in preparation for this winter, 2-17-18. My first-ever new skis. I always have skied on hand-me-downs, or old junk skis from my friends. I wanted to get some state of the art skis, and pay summer prices. I wasn't sure if they would mount them, but they did. All my ski equipment is a candy apple green, so you won't have any problems finding me on the slopes. (Posted on 7/27/2017)
Great Skis,... so is L9 Sports!Review by Bill
Bought these skis to ski midwest,.... and they worked out fantastic! Definitely a very noticeable upgrade and couldn't be happier.

My sons and I have bought complete ski packages and other gear from LevelNine over the last 4 years and they have never failed to deliver great customer service. Can't go wrong with L9! (Posted on 4/10/2017)
Great skis--and priceReview by Pat
Great skis--my 2016 Experience 88s are identical to the Temptation 88s and at a much better price. Level9 has great service and prices--I like buying from you. (Posted on 4/5/2017)
very happyReview by Daddyski
I am very happy with the quality and the delivery right to the door in Sudbury Ontario. The skis were packaged very well and not a scratch on them. best prices out there! I needed a run or two to get use to them and than watch out! confident inspiring skis that can had me doing double black diamond with ease. also just as fast as my old i180 Head's. great job L9! great service, great bargainReview by Andy
The skis are great as expected based on positive reviews all over the internet. I was very pleasantly surprised by the service provided by level nine sports. I ordered my skis on a wednesday morning and was notified that the bindings had been mounted and the skis shipped by wednesday afternoon. I got last year's skis for about 50% of retail, paid no shipping, and had them delivered within a few days. Wow. (Posted on 2/2/2017)
Great SkisReview by Little Snowman
I'm an Intermediate/Advanced skier who only gets out a few times a year. I just bought these Rossi's as my 3rd set of skis in 30 years. Having always appreciated the opportunity to rent "Performance skis" when vacationing in CO, I thought I'd treat myself to some new skis and take them with me this time. What a sweet treat these skis are! I'm only 2 days into them, but so far they've handled everything I've thrown at them with nothing but great performance. I should have bought these skis years ago! (Level Nine's price could not be beat.) (Posted on 1/27/2017)
Lovely skis at a fabulous priceReview by New-PAer
The skis made me a lot more excited about the sport. The website was very helpful in researching and choosing the pair of boards that will make me happy.

After 3 days on the slopes, I am happy about the feeling for a wonderful price. The skis carve beautifully into the packed east coast groomers and go fast if you want them too. I see plenty of others on the slopes with the same Rossignols and occasionally fist bump them.

The shipment was quick and efficient. I also learned that I have to regularly test the bindings for my safety as part of the instructions from the shop. My health will thank them later.

The only downside - I now need decent ski boots, and those are better bought offline. (Posted on 1/27/2017)
Great groomer ski! Review by Nicco1775
Just skied this for the first time out in Big sky. It was a really fun and responsive ski for the groomer runs but not the best for the deeper off-piste runs.
I'm from the Midwest and ski mostly hard packed and groomed, so this ski is perfect for me! Great customer service from level9 and quick shipping transaction. (Posted on 1/23/2017)
Great price, great skiReview by Tim
The 88 has great edge hold on the ice! Ski performs as advertised extremely accurate reviews. Shipped and delivered on time and will gladly use level 9 in the future. (Posted on 1/20/2017)
Great skis!Review by Kevin
I'm totally happy with these skis. They were received quickly and packaging was done right too! Bindings arrived the same day as the skis even though I ordered them after the skis. Only got out on the slopes with them twice so far, because Upstate New York is lacking snow. Might be time to head West to Utah!

Cheers! (Posted on 1/19/2017)
Love them!Review by cliffyballgame
I've been skiing on some old atomics and just ordered these for the season this year.

I love them. They fight through the chatter and turn really aggressively. We don't deal much with the pow in Ohio but I can't wait when I can get it in some steep and deep.

Excellent skis and service!Review by Chad
These skis are a lot of fun to ski and can go anywhere on the mountain. The price couldn't be beat either from levelnine. The wrong skis were originally shipped and levelninesports paid for return shipping, rush shipped the correct pair, and paid for a day of rentals that I needed during the time of getting the correct pair. Very fast and friendly service!! (Posted on 1/8/2017)
Ride the PowderReview by Ted
Just used them for the first time at Whistler Blackcomb in some pretty heavy snow; they glide over the piles and snowboard tracks pretty well. Great carving as well. Still need to improve my control with them, but I' confident I will. I'm 73 and an intermediate level skier. (Posted on 1/6/2017)
Great service and skisReview by Billy
Recently purchased these skis and have skied on them twice. Promptly shipped and received from level 9, then straight to the bench for tuning. I am 6' and 170 lbs advanced skier, I went with a 180 cm ski and could not be happier. Ski handles all conditions on the east coast with ease. Short turns are easily initiated and long gs turns are a walk in the park. Highly recommended! (Posted on 12/28/2016)
Itching to ski on my Rossi'sReview by Eric
I've yet to ski on them, but I received the 88s (with the D11 bindings) a few days earlier than expected. After scouring the internet for 6 months this was the best deal I could find for the quality of ski. I was initially unfamiliar with and therefore skeptical of L9, based on the fact that the 88 pricing was seemingly too good to be true. My skepticism was allayed following my conversation with their knowledgable customer service and especially so when the package arrived in the mail. I'll undoubtedly be returning to their website for future purchases. (Posted on 12/27/2016)

bought the ski from level nine. no problems. (Posted on 12/21/2016)
great east coast tele skiReview by Fuzz
After doing lots of research I decided to buy these skis, and since I tele demoing them was out of the question, so it was kind of a gamble. I skied these for the first time this weekend on my first day out this season. I'm trying not to let the excitement of first day, plus being on new skis on 5" of fresh taint my review, but these skis exceeded my expectations . They floated nicely over the first few runs of untracked, held their line as the snow started clumping up, blasted through the mashed potatoes later in the day and railed on the hard pack and loud powder at the end of the day. They love all types of turns, are super fun to crank out big GS turns but are nimble in the bumps too. Just enough tip rocker to float you and make it easy to start your turn and enough stiffness in the tail to hold you through it. I weigh 165 without gear on, am skiing on the 172's with Scarpas and NTN bindings mounted boot center to ski center. Ski in the east, 75% groomers and poach the rest when I can. Very pleased with this ski and the great deal I got on them. (Posted on 12/19/2016)
Good but not perfectReview by Tom
I purchased the 2016 Rossignol Experience 88 skis 180 cm last March.

The good - These skis are quick and easy to turn in the moguls and in the trees. When you point them downhill they are stable at high speeds with no vibrations and track like they are on rails. They plow though crud like it wasn't there.

The bad - The outside ski will start to wobble when carving at high speeds.

I wished I would have tried them out before I bought them. (Posted on 12/8/2016)

Great priceReview by Adrian
Bought them and received as advertised, but did not have a chance to try them out on the slope. The quality of the skis is not the store's concern, so I'll return to review the skis. The store installed the bindings, which saved me around $50. Still need to adjust the DIN settings. (Posted on 11/22/2016)
Best price, great service, awesome skisReview by Ski Coach
I was initially nervous about ordering skis online. I did it like 3 weeks before I had to head to the mountain too, so I was expecting it to come close with them being delivered on time.

This whole experience seemed unreal. I'm a ski instructor and get pro deals from rossignol, and this price beat the price rossignol gave me!

As for these skis, they are great all mountain skis. A lot of my fellow instructors ride them, and speak very highly of them. The head of my department called them the best all mountain ski on the market. (Posted on 11/22/2016)
Nice Fun Mountain CarversReview by Pete
Great skis at a bargain price! With the late snow season I needed a pair of 88 waist skis to grip the hardpack. I was hoping for a good all-round on which ski to ski myself back into shape. Good in the short turns, stable in the GS turns. I'm ecstatic! Nice lively skis. Grab a pair. (Posted on 11/21/2016)

Haven't skied them yet (Dec.), but I'm sure I'll love 'em-am a pro ski patroller & and quite a few of my colleagues ski on them and like them immensely.
Level one customer service rocks the house! I ordered a pair that were too long for me, and they immediately sent out the shorter & proper length for me @ no charge and emailed me a return shipping label for only $7.00 to return the longer ones. Super helpful and Awesome customer service! I will tell along skiing buddies about level one sports- and a great price! Thank you! (Posted on 10/7/2016)

I demo'd these a couple of years ago and loved them. Purchasing from Level9 was a great experience. They mounted the bindings I purchased (still need to be adjusted) and shipped them out immediately. I could;t believe how fast they arrived. Now if we can get some great snow out here on the west coast! Thanks! (Posted on 9/29/2016)

Great ski for Australian conditions, ice, wet heavy snow. Puts a smile on your dial. Not sure how it goes off piste or in powder but hope to try it. (Posted on 8/30/2016)

Demo'ed the E88's a few times and have finally bought a pair. Great ski for the hardpack in New England, carves on ice like no other ski I've tried. Looking forward to using them this winter on all surfaces at Burke Mtn, VT.

Ski prices & customer service at L9 couldn't be better!! (Posted on 8/3/2016)
