The Experience 80, is 80mm underfoot and is lighter and narrower of the bunch, but it still is firmly in the intermediate-advanced category, as these are stiff and built for some speed, not a beginner ski at all. This ski features full sidewall/sandwich construction under the binding area, but is cap style at the tips. The purpose of this is to give good carving performance at high speeds, while softening up the tips a bit to make turn initiation easier at slower speeds. We recommend the Experience 80 to advanced/expert skiers who spend 70% of their time on groomers and 30% off piste.

This chart provides a range of sizes suffice for skiers based on their height and ability level. Remember, there are lots of different styles of skis these days, so even though the ski fits into your size range, it may not be the ski for you. Use our Ski Selector if you have any doubts or questions, for a more catered list of skis that will make you the best skier on the mountain.

Square Tail: These skis have a square shaped tail, which adds stability to turns on hardpack as well as very steep terrain. Probably not a park ski, though :)

Air Tip Technology: Patented air-honeycomb design reduces the weight and dramatically reduces the swing weight of the ski by nearly 30%. This significantly enhances maneuverability, giving the ski and ultra-light feel. Reinforced with ABS for durability and enhanced torsional rigidity.

Hybrid Cap/Sandwich Construction: This ski features Cap construction at the tip and tail for added durability and to reduce topsheet chipping, and has Sandwich constuction underfoot for greater edge hold and power through the turns. Its the best of both worlds.

Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol.

Extended Sidecut: A sidecut technology that Rossignol uses for its mostly groomer skis. When the ski is going fast and you're leaning further into your turn, more of the edge comes in contact with the snow the more extreme your angle is. This gives increased edge hold at higher speeds, while leaving the ski maneuverable at slow speeds. Pretty cool.

Metal Tip Protectors: These skis have rugged tip protectors made of metal that will help fight against chipping and damage to the tips, which is both a performance and cosmetic benefit.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Best skis I have ever ownedReview by Mark
I am an upper intermediate cruiser that occasionally likes to go moderately fast on groomers. I have owned Fischer and Blizzard designed for my ability in the past. These Rossignol Experience 80's are by far the better skis. They can carve as well as drift. They have enough stiffness to to handle some speed. They help me to recover when I overdo it so they are forgiving too. If you are a recreational skier who gets their kicks out of turning your way down the mountain instead of straight down the fall line, then you will like these skis. (Posted on 3/19/2017)
Slicers!Review by Chubber8664
Definitely light and easy turners... fantastic on steep groomers and getting thru bumps. Little washing on straight line high speeds, but can expect that with skiis that are meant to be on their edge. Too much fun laying down in turns with these slicing skiing !!! (Posted on 3/5/2017)
Excellent Review by Nickster
I love these skis they are stable, responsive and turn on a dime. Not to mention that they are good looking. (Posted on 1/22/2017)
The Team at Level Nine is GreatReview by Mark
Since I purchased these skis in July, this review is based on the help the Level Nine team gave me. They responded to all my questions and helped me narrow my choice down to the Rossi Experience 80s. Tell them about your ability and style and what you want to do, and they will guide you to the right ski. I expect I will be happy with these skis when they finally hit the snow. buy longerReview by Dennis
I'm only 5'7" and my last few skis have been 160cm so I purchased the 160cm Rossignol Experience 80 Skis from my local ski shop. They carve great but were pretty sketchy when skiing fast and straight, I'm sure the front rocker design added to this. I am jumping up to 175cm with this purchase and expect much better control at speed (and even better GS turns). Great price and received the skis fast in 7 days with free shipping. Excellent product - works for intermediate skiers as wellReview by Sach5897
This was my first non-rental skiers. As a recent intermediate, I was a little worried that these skis may be too advanced for me. But the skis are very stable and easy to turn. (Posted on 5/26/2016)
Great!Review by Sokrat
Just got the skis in the mail. Arrived on time and appropriately sized. Skis need adjusting prior to trying to them out. Excited to start riding them next season! (Posted on 5/26/2016)

Nice Intermediate SkiReview by Seascape
Nice intermediate level ski. A bit soft in the tail for more advanced or higher speed carving. (Posted on 4/6/2016)
