The Rossignol Sprayer Junior Ski Package is the ideal kit for your tween skiers looking to dabble in everything the mountain has to offer. Whether they want to hit some jumps, slide some boxes or simply ski down some trails, the Sprayer will allow for it. This is a cap construction ski with a wood core which means it's very durable and it has a twin tip for skiing switch. The Rossignol Xelium 100 Binding comes included which is very lightweight and has a Din Range from 3-10, perfect for the intended Sprayer skier. As for boots, we have chosen the Dalbello Prime 75 which has a 75 flex, nice and soft for younger, lightweight skiers.

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Rossi Xelium 100 Bindings Included: Rossignol Xelium 100 Binding Included: These skis come equipped with Xelium 100 bindings which have a din range of 2.5-10 and are fully adjustable once mounted to most boot sizes between 261-327mm or 261-381mm boot sole length depending on the ski length.

Extended Sidecut: A sidecut technology that Rossignol uses for its mostly groomer skis. When the ski is going fast and you're leaning further into your turn, more of the edge comes in contact with the snow the more extreme your angle is. This gives increased edge hold at higher speeds, while leaving the ski maneuverable at slow speeds. Pretty cool.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Free V.A.S.: Visco elastomer material smoothes the rocker/camber transition, reducing tip flap and increasing stability, control and snow contact in changing snow conditions.

Product Questions

I have read reviews of these skis that say they are perfect for the lightweight teen. What kind of weight is suitable for the 168cm to use as an all mountain ski with a bit of trying out the parks? My 13 year old skied on the Head Big Heirs last year.

I am 5'6, weigh 125 lbs, and I am an intermediate/advanced all mountain skier (blues and blacks). I want to do some park skiing this season (Mostly kickers and some boxes/rails). I was wondering if the 158 cm skis would be ideal for me, or if I should go for a different size or ski. I'm planning on using whatever skis I get for a couple of years.

Thanks,
-Kyle

Hi
I want to buy skis and boots for my daughter. She is an intermediate skier (mainly blues and green runs). Her feet are 23 cm long, she is 152 cm tall. Would you please advise what size skis and boots i should purchase? Would you recommend some too that are well priced? I want to get more than one season out of the set.

My nearly 14 year old son has just had 2 days skiing with these ski's and boots and loves them. He is 5foot 5 inches tall and skied on the 168cm skis. Boots very comfortable and arrived ready to use. Couldn't be happier. Couldn't believe the quick delivery time to Melbourne, Australia. Ordered on Monday night and skis arrived Friday morning. (Posted on 7/10/2016)
