Radcut: A traditional sidecut between the inserts fuses with multiple reverse sidecuts toward the tip and tail, providing real time sidecut adjustment to the ride, ie. longer when faster, shorter when slower, and delivering the perfect cut at all times. Radcut is offered in multiple versions, each tailored for individual riding styles. More aggressive sidecut blends deliver quicker, livelier turns, while smoother sidecuts offer a more fluid, relaxed ride.
AmpTek Elite Rocker: With 30% rocker at the nose, 60% camber at the insert packs, and 10% rocker in the tail, this board floats in deep snow and has the bite to hang on in heavy carves.
Reverse Directional: Stiffer under the front binding for deeper snow feel.
TPU: Thermoplastic polyurethane is an elastic material that performs well at low temperatures to dampen vibrations and increase board strength.
L.I.T.E. Grip Tech: Lite Grip technology brings a whole new type of edge control to the snowboard world. Rossignol designed the urethane to bend away from the sidewall at specific places providing extra edge-hold in technical or icy condition
ABS Sidewalls: Offered as walls or built in cores, ABS provides enhanced durability while keeping the core safe from moisture.
Wood Core: Combinations of Poplar, Birch and Ash are used in all models delivering the utmost durability and performance.
Glass Fiber Reinforcement: Delivers customized flex with inceased torsional resistance and stability.
After buying the Rossi Sushi and falling in love with it last season, I bought this Sashimi to get something that offered much of the same experience but in a more daily-driver-friendly package. And boy does the Sashimi deliver! It doesn't hack quite like the sushi and doesn't have as tight of a turn radius (no surprise), but it more than makes up for that specialization with its versatility. It can still turn plenty quickly through the trees. It's got better straight line stability. It's much easier to load up and pop with a slightly longer and more rockered tail. While the Sushi is more "fun," it really only works in the right conditions. Whereas I think you can still have 90% as much fun and rock the Sashimi as a quiver of one. It strikes an awesome balance of playful and ready to charge.
Sweet board, does what it's good at
This thing is a powder and carving rip stick, it even knows how to play in the park. Picked it up from L9sports for far cheaper than all other websites, came fast, could not be happier with the set up.
