Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.

Tip Protectors: Plastic protectors on the tip increase the durability of the skis and reduce the likelihood of a delamination. Your tips are the most likely edges to get cracked, keep 'em safe with tip protectors and your skis will last for a long long time. If the tip protectors get damaged, it is not as big a deal as if it were to happen to the actual skis themselves.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Extruded Base: This durable material requires little maintenance and holds wax for a long period of time, so you don't have to wax as often.

Active Camber: In a world of early rise, rocker, and reverse camber, there still is a need for traditional full camber skis. The edge grip and stability is unmatched on groomed snow. This ski gets maximum edge to the snow, so it helps skiers skiing the firm stuff, or just prefer the 'feel' of traditional camber skis.

Our friend Rich has made an informative video series on teaching young children to ski. Labelled coincidentally enough teachchildrenskiing.com it's useful to those of you with skiers you would like to introduce to the sport.

Composite Core: This ski features a composite core, which has a softer flex and is lighter weight than wood cores. Junior, entry level, and sometimes even women's models have this type of core to make skiing more enjoyable, and less work.

This ski comes with the Roxy Fixation 4.5 binding (Made by Look). This is a fully adjustable binding (210-290mm) and has a DIN range that goes from .75-4.5.

Product Questions

Product Questions

Hi, I was told that regarding this package, "The binding is an integrated attachment to the ski and can only fit a range of boots between 210-290mm."
But the 23.5 and 24 boots are under 290mm. Is it just because you only offer adjustable boots with this package? And the large adjustable boot length goes up to 295mm? Is that right?
Sorry, but I'm new at this and it's confusing. Thank you!

Are bindings integrated or do they have to be mounted? Any other boot sizes for a girls 3-4?

Hi,
If you offer the longer 140 skis why don't you offer a larger boot? My daughter needs a 23.5 or 24, which is a better fit with the 140.

Our 7 year old daughter who is an intermediate skiier used these for 3 weeks while on holidays. She was much more comfortable in her boots than previous hire boots, and she felt really comfortable on her skis too. Binding settings were perfect. Much better value compared to renting as well as the other benefit of kids getting used to their own skis which helped them improve more quickly. Items arrived just 3 days of ordering online and they had to be shipped from the USA to Australia. Very impressed with the service and product - will highly recommend to others. (Posted on 1/28/2016)

Bought these skis & boots for my 7 and 5 year old girls. They have been skiing for 3 years already but I'm tired to renting. I found this which I think it's the best solution foto children! Quality looks fantastic, and more than enough for an intermediate ski level of this age. Cool design as well. The items came in almost no time and ready to use! (Size boot ready, ski bindings...).
