Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Secret Stash. You have found the secret stash, home to the best deals on the net, these are the best deals from a website of great deals, insane discounts on products we are trying to move out. These products won't last long so be sure to be quick on the trigger.

Easy In Strap: A velcro strap that is easy to get in and out of, and can be adjusted to fit just about any size hand/wrist.

Composite Shaft: The Shaft of this pole is made up of a fiberglass composite, which gives the pole incredible strength and flexibility. This does not have any carbon in it, so it?s a little heavier than a carbon composite pole, but very cost effective.

Sublimated Graphics: The graphics of this pole are not painted on. They are sublimated into the pole fibers (dyed then baked) so they won't just chip off like painted graphics.

Powder and Standard Baskets: Both are included with these poles, and can easily be switched back and forth, thanks to the threaded tip. Just unscrew and screw back on the ones you need for the day's conditions.

Coolest poles for a fraction of the price! These worked out to be about AU$25, easily cost AU$100+ from local Australian stores, so I'm a repeated and loyal customer of L9 now. Just made my 3rd purchase in under 2 years. Your fast shipping, big range of merchandise and fabulous prices are what's winning you customers from Australia in particular.

Great value polesReview by SkiDadDownUnder
Rating
Pros: cheap and tough
Cons: straps too long
Location: Canberra, Australia
Bought these for my kids who love them. They are tougher than regular alu poles which is important for kids who forget to pull them off the ground when loading chairs, etc. Only neg is the straps seem to be the same length for both adult and child length poles and thus are too long for the kids to use. I fixed this by removing the straps and cutting 30% of the length off and replacing. The velcro fastening of the straps is also an issue as it doesn't bend well (makes the strap stiff) so I'd prefer a more regular buckle. style strap. (Posted on 7/21/2015)

Was very pleased with the performance of these poles. The review and advice was spot on about strength. Used now for more than 5 days on the snow, still in firm and original condition. (Posted on 8/24/2014)

Great poles at a great price. Very solidly built, and have some flex to them, so won't snap accidentally. (Posted on 5/11/2014)

Royal Shaft Blaze Ski PolesReview by Born again skier
Rating
Pros: Great looking poles and very light weight
Location: Kansas
I received these poles at the end of the season. I look forward to using these this next season. The product arrived on time and look great. I had a set of these fiberglass poles ordered in February 2013 that worked and looked great. These were the Zebra poles, and made in the same fiberglass material. However the shaft just above the tips started to split. We determined it as a defective set of poles ordered in 2013. These new poles are the replacement for the defective poles. Levelnine Sports made it right for me as a customer. They have earned my trust and I will be a customer and loyal fan of Levelnine Sports forever. (Posted on 5/2/2014)

Pros: Low price , good performance, wrist straps
Cons: Plastic collet broke on previous set
Location: Edwards, CO
This my 2nd set of Royal Shaft poles after the collet broke on one of my poles. The current graphics choices are tamer than past versions but there is no contest about value and performance of these light poles. The easy entry wrist straps are great. would buy again and again. (Posted on 3/16/2014)

Pros: Thin, springy, well-made
Location: MHM, Oregon
I really like these poles. They are springy which for me means easier on the wrists. The thin shafts makes a ton of difference at speed. The design is a bit out there, but I like it. (Posted on 12/18/2011)

Rating
Pros: lightweight great looks
Cons: not made in "Pole"land
Location: Ontario Canada
I got these poles because they looked cool. Not only do they cool cool, they are awesome! Wrist strap are adjustable and better than most expensive poles. they are composite and I thought they would be flimsy, but as it turns out they are very strong. Better than a lot of poles priced over $100. (Posted on 4/13/2011)

These poles survived beating of my crashes all winter and still stand straight and strong. The finish remained immaculate unlike previous alunimium shafts I owned. Will be buying these for the rest of the family. (Posted on 3/24/2011)
