The whole hybrid touring/resort binding idea has been rethought and the outcome couldn't be better. This binding is designed to ski just like a high din STH 13 or the like, but can easily be switched to lift up in the heel for touring. You can have confidence in your bindings and charge your heart out while skinning up into the backcountry. These have a super low stand height bringing the skier down closer to the ski and a Din Range of 5-13, so these are pretty heavy duty. You will have such precise control and balance, you won't even remember this is a touring binding. Grab your beacon, probe, shovel, skins and a buddy (and avalanche safety knowledge) and get your BC adventure started.

Details

Hike and Ride Technology: There is a switch behind the heel piece of the binding that makes switching modes easier than ever before. Ride to hike takes a push of the switch with a ski pole while hike to ride just requires a slam to the heel, and you are locked and loaded.

Automatic Wing Adjustment: The toe of this binding automatically adjusts to the slightly different width among ski boots. This means it is one less adjustment to fuss with. Just step into the binding and go skiing.

Ultra Wide Base: The base of this binding measures in at 80mm which increases balance and performance to match up with wider powder skis while ripping turns or dropping cliffs.

Low Profile Chassis : This binding has a lower stand height than most hybrid touring bindings (26mm), bringing the skier closer to the ski, giving the skier a lower center of gravity which is preferred while skiing powder or freeride terrain.

Flat Front Toe Piece: The construction for the toe piece is flat on the front as opposed to a more pointed traditional toe piece. This helps while hiking and allows for more mobility when you need to do a kick turn or are stuck in a tough spot.

Self Cleaning Baseplate: Don't you hate when snow ices over your touring bindings? It's next to impossible to break it up at the top of your line. This binding is built to break up snow and ice as you are hiking eliminating that whole problem.

These are great bindings marketed to the freeride crowd. The low stand height and wide brake arms included are great features for the Park and Powder skiers who want better balance and have wider skis.

I currently have a pair of skis with Fritschi Freeride Pro bindings that I use with Garmont G-Ride at boots (full Vibram, rockered AT sole).
