The Salomon 24 Hrs Sport package was put together for intermediate all mountain skiers looking to ski the whole resort. The 24 Hrs Sport is a great carving ski, which is most at home on groomers but will handle the occasional tree or mogul run with ease. This ski comes with the Salomon Z12 Binding which has a DIN range of 4-12 and is adjustable to a wide range of boot sizes (257-380mm). The Dalbello Prime boot has a forgiving 65 flex and a 104mm last which is very comfortable but will offer enough support for fairly aggressive skiing. Choosing this package is a great way to save yourself even more money on some great quality gear.

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

If you don't know all the information required, Please fill out the form to the best of your ability.

Ideal Target Skier: East Coast Hardpack Lover: This is an excellent ski for East Coast skiers that ski aggressively on the hardpack while still getting off trail a bit. West Coast skiers: this is a carving ski that should only be brought out when the powder is gone and its time to rip the groomers.

Skier Ability: Upper Intermediate: This ski allows the higher intermediate skiers to feel comfortable at a wide range of speeds, and offer a good mix of stability for aggressive skiing without loosing the ability to turn easily at slower speeds, if that's your thing.

Salomon Z10 Binding Included: This ski comes with a pair of Z10 bindings to complete the package:
DIN Range: 3-10
Skier Weight Range: 80-225 lbs.

Ideal Target Skier: West Coast All Mountain Skier: Skiers on the west coast will enjoy this ski as an all mountain, do everything model, while skiers on the east coast will find this more suitable for powder skiing, or when there is chopped up crud to be had.

Salomon Carve Rocker: Developed for performance on hard snow; extra short length, low height rocker profile in the tip, provides instant carving sensations, with easy and precise steering. Camber under foot guarantees stability, edge grip and gives the ski powerful rebound.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Titanium Layer: A thin, but strong layer of Titanium sits under the topsheet of this ski. Not only does it make the ski stronger, it keeps it lighter than other metals, and also creates a dampening effect for the ski. This means it rides smoother over bumpy terrain.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Tip Protectors: Plastic protectors on the tip increase the durability of the skis and reduce the likelihood of a delamination. Your tips are the most likely edges to get cracked, keep 'em safe with tip protectors and your skis will last for a long long time. If the tip protectors get damaged, it is not as big a deal as if it were to happen to the actual skis themselves.

Salomon Pulse Pad: A layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for a smoother ride and improved snow contact.

Integrated Binding System: Once mounted, the binding sits on rails or a plate that is affixed to the ski. The main difference, however, is that the binding can move slightly on the rail during the flexing motion of the ski underneath. This setup means the binding does not inhibit the flex of the ski as it is sort of floating on these rails. What this means for the skier: A more even flex and smoother turn, with less skidding or 'chatter' from the ski. This is most noticeable on groomed terrain.

So happy with my purchase from Level Nine. I love my new skis and am so happy with my purchase. Level Nine answered all my questions which helped me decide on this package. Well I am happy to say that the package is perfect for me, from the boots to the skies. Only used one weekend and I cant wait to get on the slopes again. I would highly recommend Level Nine to anyone interested in purchasing new equipment. They also have a fantastic return policy if needed. (Posted on 2/18/2015)

I have not gone skiing in more than 17 years so I needed to buy all new equipment. I deciding on this package because I needed a package to start off with at the beginner level again but also knew that I would re-learn quickly so an advanced ski would be needed also. I live in New England so I mostly ski on hard packed but during my second outing, I hit the advanced trails and even some glades. These skis performed very well in all conditions and what a value! These are great skis! Got them for myself (After talking to the nice folks here). I am a new skier just venturing out onto blue runs (So I was somewhat worried about them) I didn't need to worry (Very controllable) Very nice and fun to ski on. Had to get my son a pair as well. We both got the package complete with boots. I would recommend these skis to anyone who is looking for a nice ski but doesn't need or want to go into the park (Posted on 2/16/2015)

Bought for my 14 year old son. He loves them, very easy to ski on. Versatile ski and binding. My son was able to do jumps and ski on all Midwest ski conditions. I cannot wait for him to outgrow them and pass on to his old man. Great deal from Level 9. (Posted on 1/29/2015)
