Generic Snowboard Sizing Chart

A good rule for snowboard sizing is about chin height. A little longer for stronger or heavier than your height riders. A little shorter for beginners or lighter than your height riders. Also keep in mind if you have very small feet for your height you will probably need a shorter and thus narrower board and if you have big feet for your height you may need a longer and thus wider board for your height.

Everybody has to start somewhere. The Subject Complete Snowboard package includes all three parts of the equation at a reasonable price that will save you money, which is why you came to this page to begin with. The Subject from Salomon is a full camber board with a soft flex that will solidly hold an edge at any speed and is forgiving enough for a beginner to throw around with ease. The M3 Aspect is the binding of choice and will fit a wide range of boot sizes since it has ample adjustment to get the perfect fit around your boot. The Titan Boa boots from Salomon also come included which feature the tried and true Boa Adjustment system that riders of all levels prefer for its ease of use and its ability to provide a snug fit. If you have never snowboarded before, this package will allow you to progress through the ranks smoothly. Intermediate riders with some experience don't click away, the Subject package will suit you quite well too.

Wood Core Construction: This board sports a wood core, which helps dampen a bumpy a ride, giving the board a smoother ride. The wood core also helps maintain the camber of the board so it stays springy and lively.

ABS Sidewall: ABS provides better edge hold than other materials and construction types. It will also withstand impacts with rocks and terrain features (rails, boxes, your friend) more effectively when compared to cap style construction.

Traditional Camber: In a world of early rise, rocker, and reverse camber, there still is a need for traditional full camber boards. The edge grip and stability is unmatched on groomed snow. This board gets maximum edge to the snow, so it helps riders on the firm stuff, or is great for those who simply prefer the 'feel' of traditional camber boards.

Directional Twin: This board has a Directional Twin Shape which means the board is twin shaped but the flex pattern is progressively stiffer towards the tail for added power on carves.

Bite Free Edge Tune: This board comes with a factory wax and tune but the edges at the tip and tail have been detuned for a smooth ride and less hangups when setting an edge.
