The Scott Team Issue poles are THE go-to pole for all the jibbers and jumpers out there. First of all, they are offered in vibrant colors which will match your neon jacket and pants. What we like most about these poles is the strap which is very simple and low profile. You can set it and forget it! The Grips fit very comfortably in your hand and are a bit narrower than the norm allowing you to grab your ski with gusto!

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

All-Mountain Baskets: Baskets that are big enough for powder and small enough for groomers. Basically they are a medium size that will get the job done well enough in any terrain or conditions.

18mm Diameter: The diameter at the top of these poles is a beefy 18mm to give it greater strength. The pole tapers down to a smaller diameter toward the tip to save some weight.

Scott S4 Aluminum Shaft: Constructed with the strongest commercially available, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. S4 aluminum poles are twice as strong as the industry standard, rates to 75 ooo PSI.

Scott Carbon Diamond Tips: Constructed using a composite matrix of state-of-the art materials including carbon fiber, the Carbon Diamond Tip can withstand the harshest abuses.

They are very purple!Review by EA
I was able to snag a pair of the purple ones in a 54" length. I guess there aren't too many super-tall skiers who want magenta poles? In any case, they were super-easy to slide the grips off and cut down to my size. The grips and straps are comfy, and they seem like they'll be pretty indestructible. I got a great deal! Great polesReview by stratton4pow
I bought the orange poles a few weeks back, and have used them multiple times up at Snowbasin. Great purchase - I like the swing weight of the poles (light) and the grips. The baskets are also the perfect compromise for powder and hard pack. Would highly recommend them. (Posted on 3/8/2016)
Great Poles. Color?Review by Ben D.
I have an old pair of these I've been using for years. They are great poles, light, well balanced, stiff, and I've never bent one.
I got a set of these in purple....the picture on the site here makes them look like a dark plum color. The actual color is much brighter (almost a fuchsia). (Posted on 2/18/2016)
