Don't let the simple, minimalist look of Smith's Code MIPS Helmet fool you. Loaded with features to keep you protected and comfortable, from the Boa 360 Fit system to AirEvac 2 ventilation. Made with Aerocore construction that utilizes Koroyd panels to shave weight and improve airflow. Beanie compatible, so you can wear your hat and goggles under the helmet for a competition ready look. The Code offers protection for your noggin in a sweet, park rat style that will keep you lapping all day. The Balance goggle is a great option for you this winter season. This goggle sits the widest across your face out of most of Giro's goggles, providing the rider with an exceptionally wide range of view, a bit more so than the Blok for example. In classic Giro fashion, the design of this goggle is clean and simple and of course, has a crystal clear Carl Zeiss lens to boot. This frame was designed to sit flush with your Giro helmet too, so long gaper gap! The Balance really has it all when it comes to high-end goggles: great looks, won't fog and will fit nicely with your helmet. You really don't need anything else!

Air Evac2 Ventilation/Goggle Integration:At Smith, they design helmets and goggles to work together as a fully integrated system. For the helmet line, the most important factor in integration is the AirEvac ventilation system. This is the bridge that allows goggles and helmets to function as one system, venting warm moist air away from the goggles, through the helmet climate control system and ultimately away from the head.

In Mold Construction: In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

Aerocore Construction: The top vents are lined with "green" Koroyd Material that allows for a dramatic increase of air entered and exiting the helmet without compromising safety or performance. This material also absorbs more energy upon impact when tested to international standards.

Included Knit Liner: This model of Bern Helmet comes standard with a warm knit liner.

MIPS Helmet Technology: MIPS - Multi-Directional Impact Protection System MIPS is a step forward in helmet design. There are three main components to a MIPS-equipped helmet: the interior foam liner, the Low Friction Liner and an elastomeric attachment system between them. In an angled impact, the elastomeric attachment system stretches to allow the foam liner to rotate independently around your head. The goal of this technology is to further reduce rotational forces.

In Form Fit System: A dial at the lower back of the helmet can be turned tighter or looser to get a custom fit. This also improves the safety of the helmet, as a better fit means the helmet is less likely to slide around during a crash.

CPSC Safety Standard: CPSC is the newest American safety standard for bicycling and skating, this helmet meets this new standard.

CE EN 1077: This is a European standard that has performed testing on these helmets to ensure they function as designed, and that they exceed the minimum standards for snow sports. In other words, they dropped heavy objects on the helmets, and they didn't break.

Padded Chin Strap: Thin padding under the chin prevents chafing and allows for proper fit of the helmet.

Fidlock Buckle Closure: The pinch-free, one-handed Fidlock Magnectic Snap helmet buckle combines the advantages of two fastening concepts in a completely new way. Strong magnets make it easy to open and close while a secure snap functionality ensures a continuously high locking force.

Goggle clip: Two lateral guides that keep the goggles in place, and doesn't interfere with the goggle adjustment clips.

Audio System Ready: The earpads of this helmet have zippers that allow the user to input their audio listening device of choice. Skullcandy makes some earpad specific speakers that are very nice, but really any earbuds will fit in there and pump your jamz.

Expansion View: Perfected at Giro's test lab in Scotts Valley, California, this ground breaking new frame design serves up unparalleled peripheral vision.

Triple Face Foam: Triple face foam is a three part system that gives the rider a plush contact layer against the face, a super soft middle later that allows maximum contour, and a durable back layer that adheres to the goggle frame.

Anti-Fog Coating: This lens have an Anti-Fog coating on them to help prevent the goggles from fogging as to not ruin your day of skiing.

Seamless Compatibility: For optimal performance of both helmets and goggles Giro products are designed to work together as a single integrated unit. Ensuring a seamless interface between helmet and goggles offers exceptional fit and dependable, worry-free function.

Carl Zeiss Vision Spherical Lens: The Lenses are built with technology from Carl Zeiss, the world leader in optical lenses so you know its going to be crystal clear. Spherical lenses have 3D rounded appearance, similar to the human eye. Its surface is part of a sphere, which has the same radius horizontally and vertically and also offers a wider peripheral angle of vision.
