Defiance (Level 9's House Brand) decided to team up with Tyrolia to offer a high quality, safe binding at an insanely low price. We present to you the Defiance 11, D11 for short. This is an all black, lightweight binding with a DIN range that goes from 3-11, ideal for skiers of all abilities. The Tyrolia D11 binding isn't fully adjustable, meaning we will mount it exactly to your boot size, but there is about 12mm of adjustment up or down once mounted. We have set it up so that you can choose your brake width depending on the width of your skis. If you have questions about what size to choose, feel free to drop us a line via chat, phone or email and we will gladly assist you.

SX Toe with TRP System: It looks slick, but more importantly, allows up to 30% greater retention force without compromising safety. There are 4 rollers at the toe that remain flexible (spring loaded) at all times to keep the boot centered and to absorb sharp impacts.

Duracoating: A protective seal on the binding to help reduce wear for looks and performance.

ABS - Anti Blocking System: A rollable toe pad enabling no friction release for perfect release regardless of boot wear, icing up or dirt.

Wide Teflon AFD: A wider than average AFD transmits more force to the edge of the ski, and reduces or eliminates the rolling of the boot when engaged in the binding.

Product Questions

Product Questions

I'm 300 pounds man would these work for me or should I buy something more expensive. ..Also I consider myself intermediate level
I ski in an AT boot (Scarpa Denali XT). Willthe TyroliaDefiance 11 binding work with my AT boot?
Can these be mounted without a rail
Is the toe height adjustable?
Does this binding have a diagonal heel release like the LX12s?
by "not fully adjustable" does that mean there's no worm drive or pawl/latch to move heelpiece at all? ie. the only BSL adjustment is the movement of the forward pressure spring? This would mean that after mounting, if forward pressure is out of spec, no choice but to re-mount??!!

For the PriceReview by For the Price
Lightweight and inexpensive: I have 3 pairs on different width skis. Only complaint would be brake could tuck in tighter when clicked in. Other than that, they work as they should. (Posted on 4/13/2017)
Great value Review by Treichel1225
These bindings suit my aggressive intermediate style of skiing. Easy to click on and out of and after a couple of harsh wipeouts, they have released beautifully to prevent from injury. Have no issues whatsoever with the brakes as others have described. Great value binding. (Posted on 2/16/2017)
Cost effective but breaks catchReview by SamC
These are light weight and mount close to the ski. A cost effective binding and I've popped out when needed - they work. I've been able to click half in at back, enough to ski a few turns, but then get pre released - splat. The breaks seam to be a little wide, outside the profile of the ski and I sometimes get them caught on my pants. (Posted on 1/23/2017)
great!Review by ET
ordered some D11 bindings, got them quickly, got them mounted and went skiing! what else is there to say?! thanks for the quick delivering and great price. (Posted on 3/24/2016)
not for everyoneReview by SDS Hfx
I had these mounted on a K2 Shreditor 102 skis and was disappointed in the quality of the breaks. The break arms on both skis bent after only skiing a few days. While I did bail, I would have expected to have binding break arms that would withstand a wipeout or two because they are supposed to be designed with that in mind. The bindings themselves released and I did not blow a knee, but I had to bend the arms back into place in order to ski the rest of the day. I wouldn't recommend the D 11 to any aggressive skier who is going to ski hard. (Posted on 3/20/2016)
