Warning: Do not use this product if elderly, pregnant, or being treated for high blood pressure. Ok, maybe that was stolen from a warning label on an energy drink, but part of that still applies to this binding. The Tyrolia Peak 18 X TH (Tanner Hall's Pro Model) has a high DIN that is not meant for the average, or even the advanced skier. This binding is competition level (the exact binding that Tanner uses while in the Halfpipe), when skiers generally do not want their binding to release the boot in a fall or bobble. Make Sure to choose the correct brake arm to match the width of your ski.

TH 15/18 Series: We are designating these TH series bindings/brake arms. To help avoid the confusion about which brake arms work with which bindings. All TH series parts will have this description and be accessible from the link at the beginning of this paragraph.

Duracoating: A protective seal on the binding to help reduce wear for looks and performance.

Wide Teflon AFD: A wider than average AFD transmits more force to the edge of the ski, and reduces or eliminates the rolling of the boot when engaged in the binding.

Full Diagonal Toe: Intelligent 180degree release action both horizontally and vertically. Maximum safety in backwards crash situations.

Race Pro Heel: This heelpiece looses the diagonal release feature, but gains a more solid interface with the ski. The heads of the screws are much closer to the ski, reducing the amount of torque placed on them.

Head/Tyrolia Racing X: This binding features the Head/Tyrolia Heavy Spring, meaning some of the release settings are considerably above the international standard recommendations, and should only be used by skiers that understand the risks of using a high DIN binding like this. Any binding wearing the 'X' badge is for extremely high performance skiers only. However, Head/Tyrolia warns skiers that these bindings may cause serious injury to the skier, no matter their ability. In other words, don't set the DIN to 18 just to be cool, because your leg will break before the binding releases. Level Nine reiterates this warning by saying you need to sign a waiver when you purchase this binding, agreeing that you don't hold Level Nine liable when all of your tendons snap.
